Installation
Copy the module from the OrbitvuCloudM2 package into Magento, enable it and run setup:upgrade. Hyvä store views and Adobe Commerce Cloud need one extra step each.
If the previous Orbitvu SUN plugin (Orbitvu_Sun) is installed, install this plugin next to it and then follow Migrating from the previous plugin. Do not remove the previous plugin before the migration.
Package contents
Download the plugin package OrbitvuCloudM2-<version>.zip from your ORBITVU CLOUD account: Marketplace → Web Integrations (marketplace.orbitvu.io/my-products/plugins), Download next to Magento 2. Orbitvu Cloud (v2) is version 2.0.0 or higher: packages with version 1.x are the previous plugin. The package contains:
app/code/Orbitvu/Cloud– the plugin, with the PHP libraries it needs in itsvendor/directory,hyva/app/code/Orbitvu/CloudHyva– the compatibility module for Hyvä themes, needed only by stores with a Hyvä theme.
The package is complete: do not run composer install in the plugin directory.
Installing the plugin
Open the server command line, go to the Magento root directory and run (replace <magento_root> and <version>):
unzip OrbitvuCloudM2-<version>.zip -d orbitvu-package
cp -r orbitvu-package/app <magento_root>/
cd <magento_root>
bin/magento module:enable Orbitvu_Cloud
bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento setup:di:compile
bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
bin/magento cache:flushsetup:upgrade creates the plugin tables. In developer mode, setup:di:compile and setup:static-content:deploy can be skipped.
Hyvä themes
Store views with a Hyvä theme also need the compatibility module from the hyva/ directory of the package. Luma-based store views do not need it.
cp -r orbitvu-package/hyva/app <magento_root>/
cd <magento_root>
bin/magento module:enable Orbitvu_CloudHyva
bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento setup:di:compile
bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
bin/magento cache:flushAdobe Commerce Cloud
On Adobe Commerce Cloud, files cannot be copied to the server: the code is deployed from the project's Git repository. Copy the plugin (and the Hyvä module, if needed) into app/code of a local copy of the project, enable it there, then commit and push:
cp -r orbitvu-package/app/code/Orbitvu/Cloud <project>/app/code/Orbitvu/
cd <project>
bin/magento module:enable Orbitvu_Cloud
git add app/code/Orbitvu app/etc/config.php
git commit -m "Add Orbitvu Cloud"
git pushThe deployment runs setup:upgrade.
After the installation
- Connect the plugin with your ORBITVU CLOUD account, see Connecting plugin with ORBITVU CLOUD account. Until then the plugin shows the presentations of a demo account.
- Check the settings in Stores → Configuration → Orbitvu Cloud, see Plugin settings.
