Updating plugin
Replace the plugin directory with the one from the new package, clear the generated code and run setup:upgrade. Product links and settings are kept.
Product links, presentation items and settings are stored in the Magento database and are kept during the update.
Back up the database before updating.
- Download the new
OrbitvuCloudM2-<version>.zippackage from your ORBITVU CLOUD account: Marketplace → Web Integrations (marketplace.orbitvu.io/my-products/plugins), Download next to Magento 2. - Replace the plugin directory and clear the generated code, then run the Magento update commands:
unzip OrbitvuCloudM2-<version>.zip -d orbitvu-package
rm -rf <magento_root>/app/code/Orbitvu/Cloud
cp -r orbitvu-package/app <magento_root>/
cd <magento_root>
rm -rf generated/code/* generated/metadata/*
bin/magento setup:upgrade
bin/magento setup:di:compile
bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
bin/magento cache:flushRemove the old directory instead of copying over it: copying over keeps files that the new version no longer has. Clearing generated/ is needed because code generated for the previous version can stop bin/magento before setup:upgrade regenerates it.
With the Hyvä compatibility module installed, replace it the same way before setup:upgrade:
rm -rf <magento_root>/app/code/Orbitvu/CloudHyva
cp -r orbitvu-package/hyva/app <magento_root>/Version 2.1.0 added the Hyvä compatibility module: when updating from 2.0.x on a store with a Hyvä theme, install it as described in Installation.
On Adobe Commerce Cloud, replace the directories in your project repository, then commit and push.
